To be considered
for the IPRS, you must:
-be an international applicant (ie. a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, and not an Australian permanent resident) and meet international student visa requirements;
-have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honors degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first class honors;
-have applied for admission to undertake masters by research or doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne;
-not be enrolled in the course for which you seek scholarship.

The IPRS provides:
-Full cost of tuition -Overseas Student Health Cover for you and your dependents, if they join you in Australia on a student visa In addition, successful candidates receive an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) which provide for the following benefits: A fortnightly living allowance -Relocation grant for students moving to Melbourne from interstate or from outside Australia -Thesis allowance -Limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leave. |

History of Janet Clarke Hall
Established in 1886 as a residential hostel for women students of Trinity College, JCH was
named after a significant benefactor Janet Clarke. JCH became an independent
college in 1961, and co-educational in 1973.
